And I eat your skin.

Can you take it?

I Drink Your Blood is a Horror film that came out in 1970.

It’s about a group of Devil worshipping hippies who cause mayhem in a small town.

They mess with one family in particular. After hurting the grandfather, and bullying the granddaughter, the grandson gets revenge by injecting blood from a rabid dog into meat pies and giving them to the satanic gang.

Here’s a trailer if you haven’t seen the film:
(warning the trailer is a little graphic)

I also find it interesting how many times “I Drink Your Blood” is repeated in the trailer.

Another thing that’s fascinating is how violent the trailer is. I highly doubt the MPAA would allow something of this magnitude to be released in today’s era. Maybe as a “Red-Band” trailer.

It looks pretty decent for a film that was made almost fifty years ago. I Drink Your Blood came out four years prior to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I wonder if there was any inspiration there?

I’d even go and say that this film looks better than some of the movies that come out today.

I’m really impressed with the blood and effects they have in the film. Especially due to this film being made a long time ago.

If you have a free 90 minutes sometime this week, I’d be curious to see what you think of the film.

By all means I know this is a “B” movie. However there is an audience and market for these kind of movies, and they can be made on a very low-budget and spear-head your career.

Speaking of B movies, Jacob Cooney, a writer/director whose had multiple films appear on the Syfy channel, will be taking us through the process of a B movie at Genre Summit.

He explains why Sharknado was successful and how you can implement their success in your project.

Jacob also takes us through the journey of how to get your project on the Syfy Channel.

Keep your day free July 11th as that’s when Jacob’s workshop will be released.

If you want to make the next Sharknado this will be a talk you won’t want to miss!

Don’t underestimate the “B” movie. I Drink Your Blood is still being talked about almost fifty years later!

Sharknado had over 3.8 million views and was turned into multiple sequels.

Will yours be next?
