Yup today is the most infamous day of the year. How superstitious are you? You better not walk under that ladder or break the mirror. Since it’s Friday the 13th your bad luck will double!

Being a fan of these kind of days, I wanted to test my luck on Friday the 13th a few years back. I was in Las Vegas and tested my luck with good ol’ blackjack…

I was feeling so exuberant that I bet $100 in my very first hand. Mind you, this was my entire “gambling” budget for the weekend I was there. Ready to risk it all in one hand.

The dealer’s face card was an Ace. Of course just my luck. A few seconds later the dealer checks his second card which was a queen. Blackjack. Just like that I lost my $100 and have never played since.

I know this happened because it was on Friday the 13th. Any other day I would have gotten 21!

Speaking of Friday the 13th, we have Victor Miller, the writer of the original Friday the 13th film presenting at Genre Summit. This is one of the presentations you definitely don’t want to miss.

He’ll dive deep into how he created the iconic villain in the film, and how they went in a different direction for the sequels and spin-offs.

Victor shares his step-by-step plan of how he tackles the writing process as well. He also shares tips on how and where you can pull inspiration for your scripts, and some other feedback I’ve already implemented in my writing.

Make sure you listen till the end as Victor tells you guys something you do not want to miss out on!

You will have free instant access to Victor’s session for 24 hours on July 18th.

Friday the 13th has been made into well over 10 films. It is one of the most successful horror franchises of all time! The co-creator goes no limits and shares how you can make your film a cult classic as well.
